Syllabus &/Or Weekly Breakdown:

  • First week: Measurements for custom design, body shapes, and adjusting the sewing mannequin to match the client’s body shape (one of my own designs).
  • Second week: Creating corset pattern, and sewing with bones for evening dresses.
  • Third week: Draping and sewing the custom designs including lace sewing/embroideries.
  • Fourth week: Finishing the evening custom dress.(zipper, and lining.).
  • Fifth week: Creating bridal dress; corset, skirt base and underskirt.
  • Sixth week: Finishing the bridal dress.
  • Seventh week: Each student will create his or her own evening dress.
  • Eighth week: Finishing each student’s design.
